The ISU Department of Agronomy partnered with RISE between 2017 and 2022 to study the department’s curriculum. There were two high level goals of the study. The first, referred to in the report as phase 1, was to establish a set of measurable program objectives and outcomes that were faculty developed; that supported the incorporation of science and its applications, provided integrative opportunities, and a mastery of knowledge; and that supported other curricular goals. The second, phases 2-5, was to construct a data-driven continuous improvement program to serve as a starting point for curricular discussions and that would allow for continuous curriculum improvement and evolution.
